It is great to find items like this. This cheerful little Dansette ‘Diplomat’ Record Player dates to around 1960 and was an all battery example from their range. Although a decent seller at the time what makes this one special is the fact that it is technically ‘new old-stock’ and has never been used or even opened for nearly 60 years. Reputedly this example came from a local audio store who put it on their back shelves when new, and then completely overlooked it until recently.
as you can see I am offering it in exactly ‘as found’ and untested condition and obviously 60 years of storage has aged it a bit. However if you wanted to with a little TLC and a cautionary service, this fab little record player should sparkle once again.
