This pair of reels looks to contain the Dudley Moore Trio performing a concert ….. Although better known for his acting career, Dudley Moore was also an extremely accomplished jazz pianist as well performing and recording music through the 1960s and 70s.
The programme looks to have been produced by ABC (Australian Broadcasting Commission) in June 1978 with this copy made from the master on July 78. Either way it consists of two reels 47 and 49 minutes long which run at 39.7 cm per second. The tape is 2 inch wide. Both come in their travel cases with labels on the outside show it was sent to Goldwins in London via Concorde. It also appears to have been then checked by a tele-audio company in 1981.
Sadly as I don’t know anyone yet with the suitable equipment to run these I have been unable to view them so far. Therefore they are a little bit of an unknown yet potentially rare set of reels.
