WW2 British ‘Save Fuel’ Poster by Clive Uptton

This large poster dates to c1944 and was issued the Ministry of Fuel and Power in order to remind people in England during WW2 to save fuel. As they wanted to remind people at the time- it was fuel which ran the machines which would ultimately win the war. This vibrant poster was created by noted artist Clive Uptton (1911-2006) who worked as an illustrator for many leading magazines of the day.

Please see images as this is offered in slightly poor original untouched condition. It has been stored folded and does have creases and small tears to the edges which should disappear fine if framed. The colours are still nice and vibrant.
