Boxed GTE XT300 ActionStation Terminal c1985

Description

Back in the 1980s everyone wanted a personal computer for work but not everyone strictly needed one. In the early 1980s GTE created this XT300 ActionStation terminal which could be hooked up to Compuserve to provide telephone and data services.  It was basically a modem with a 9 inch screen, keyboard and telephone attachment. While it probably sounded like a useful gap in the market the XT300 would ultimately prove too expensive for what it was and never sold very well You can learn more about these somewhat fascinating little terminals by clicking the link to this external site here. As such they are somewhat rare today.

This example is offered in very good boxed condition. There are a few small marks but overall is very clean and barely used. I’ve had someone check it over for me and while the pilot light does come on and appears to be in ‘working’ condition, obviously it would require modifying to actually do anything useful today. However probably a fun conversion for an enthusiast.

Terminal dimensions:  40 cm wide x 40 cm deep x 26 cm high.

This is a US product so runs off of 110v.
