This original little robot themed cartoon is by the noted English cartoonist Edgar Norfield. Hand drawn on card this was clearly marked up for publication (possibly in Punch where Norfield often had contributions). This image could be seen as a fun comment on the way we as the creator feel over-attached to our robots, but dated 1942 it is a nice early representation of the genre as well.
