This original computer art lithograph was created by artist Marcus West and printed by Motif Editions. Titled ‘Geometrical Lotus’ a copy is held in the V&A archives. It was made using a computer plotter and obviously depicts a Lotus flower.

This was printed by Motif Editions who had originally created the computer art prints for Cybernetic Serendipity in 1968. Off of that success they chose to promote other small artists including Marcus West over the following years as well as bigger names such as David Hockney.
This example was printed onto glossy stock/poster paper and a limited run of 1000 were only ever produced.
I have 5 identical examples of this poster for sale now which have just come direct from the artist. Marcus was sent them by Motif in 1978 and they have been stored in their original cardboard tube ever since. Seven are offered in excellent condition being free from marks, tears or major bumps. One example is in very good condition with a small loss to one corner and a small light dirt mark only (see images).
As originally sold these prints are not signed, but Marcus West has now hand signed each of these prints for me in the bottom corner. As such they are the only examples the artist has ever signed. We can also include a photocopy of the original letter to Marcus which came with these prints.
